Move your data. Lose nothing.
Changing systems is risky because of the data, not the software. Years of customer, financial and project records have to arrive complete and correct. We plan the move, test it on copies, and check every record before you switch over.
- Who it is for
- Firms changing ERP, accounting or CRM, merging companies, or leaving an old database.
- First step
- A data audit of the source systems and what needs to move.
- Typical timeline
- 4 to 8 weeks for most migrations, including trial runs.
- After handover
- A reconciliation report, sign-off, and the old data archived and readable.
What we do
Every migration ends with a reconciliation report you sign off.
Field-by-field mapping
Every field in the old system matched to its place in the new one.
Cleaning first
Duplicates and broken records fixed before anything moves.
Trial runs on copies
The move is rehearsed on copies of your data until it runs clean.
Reconciliation
Counts and totals checked between old and new, line by line.
Archive
The old data kept in a readable archive for audits and lookups.
How a project runs
The real move only happens after the trial runs come out clean. How we work →
- 01Data auditWhat the source systems hold and what needs to move.
- 02Mapping and planField-by-field mapping, cleaning rules and a schedule.
- 03Trial migrationsRehearsals on copies until the results reconcile.
- 04Live migrationThe final move, timed with you to keep downtime short.
- 05Sign-offA reconciliation report and an archive of the old data.
Questions
What firms usually ask us before moving their data. Anything else, ask us directly.
Will there be downtime?
Usually a short freeze while the final move runs, scheduled with you, often over a weekend. The trial runs tell us how long it will take.
How do we know nothing is missing?
We reconcile record counts and financial totals between the old and new systems and give you the report before you sign off.
Which systems can you migrate between?
Most databases, accounting packages, ERPs and CRMs, including old desktop systems. The audit confirms what each system lets us export.
Who can see our data during the move?
Only the named engineers on your project. The work happens on your premises or on systems you approve, and we sign an NDA first.
What happens to the old system?
It stays read-only until you are confident, then its data is archived so you can still look things up.
